I kind of forgot that Kourtney Kardashian had her baby a week ago. My bad. And since I forgot about the baby, I also didn’t remember that Kourtney and Scott Disick hadn’t announced the name. Well, Kourtney took care of that on Sunday when she posted the “first photo” of her third child – that’s the header photo, taken off Kourtney’s Instagram. I don’t really have an opinion of parents posting photos of baby fingers/hands, but let’s just not call it the first baby photo, okay? It doesn’t count unless we can see baby-face.

Anyway, Kourtney posted the photo with the message “Madly in love with my little Reign Aston Disick.” Yes, this poor baby’s name is REIGN. REIGN ASTON. I guess “Aston” like Aston-Martin, or Sean Astin. Maye she’s a fan of Goonies? As for Reign… NO. Nope. I’m not even going to pretend that’s a real name. I would have rolled my eyes at “Rain” but at least I would have understood it with that spelling. I literally have no comprehension for why a parent would name their child REIGN. It’s a verb! It’s like naming your kid Jog or Swim. Plus, Reign doesn’t fit with his siblings’ names, Mason and Penelope. It just doesn’t make any sense. But hey, at least it’s not Jermajesty? Honestly, I think Reign is right up there with Jermajesty though.

(PS… I know some semantic nitpickers are probably going to yell at me, so let me just cut you off right here: I know “Reign” is also a noun. But can we all agree that it’s still a stupid name?)
